Visaka Industries gets nod for capacity expansion, setting up construction chemicals unit

Visaka Industries has secured approval for capacity expansion of fibre cement boards and calcium silicate boards by 72,000 MT per annum (MTPA) by setting up of new plant at Tonk, state of Rajasthan. The Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on August 6, 2026 has approved the same. 

The estimated capex for the capacity expansion is Rs 175 crore, to be funded partly by internal accruals and partly by borrowings. The new capacities are estimated to be commissioned by December, 2027 for commercial production. The company has an existing capacity of 3,42,000 MTPA, operating at 100% capacity utilization rate. The capacity expansion is aimed at supporting long term business growth, and improving market competitiveness and profitability and ROCE.

Additionally, the board has approved setting up of manufacturing of construction chemicals line at Tumkur, Karnataka with an estimated capex of Rs 10 crore. The construction chemicals offers significant strategic synergies with the company’s existing product portfolio.

Visaka Industries is engaged into the business of manufacture, trading and construction activity of cement fibre sheets, fibre cement boards & panels, solar panels, synthetic yarn and trading of green products, eco-friendly products, sustainable products, organic products.
