Amit Shah promises Bihar defence corridor, flood-free plan and factories in every district if NDA wins
Nov-03-2025

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will establish defence corridor in Bihar, set up factories in each district, and build Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and industrial parks if the party is voted to power.

Speaking at a rally in Bihar’s Sheohar, Shah exuded confidence that the NDA will again form government in Bihar, and the RJD-Congress will be ‘wiped out by 1 pm on November 14’ when the election results are declared.

Amit Shah said, ‘from the time of Emperor Chandragupta Maurya to Narendra Modi, the Gandak, Koshi and Ganga rivers have wreaked flood havoc in Bihar. The NDA, if voted to power, will form a commission to make Bihar flood-free’.

Continuing his campaign trail in Bihar, Shah made a slew of poll promises. He said the Mithilanchal region will be developed as a global knowledge centre at a cost of Rs 500 crore, and the Sitamarhi-Ayodhya Ramjanaki Path will be built for Rs 550 crore.

The home minister said that the government will launch the Vande Bharat train from Sitamarhi to Ayodhya on the consecration day of the Sita temple and Rs 5,000 crore will be spent on doubling the Ayodhya-Sitamarhi rail track.

Criticizing Lalu Prasad's tenure, Shah said that it was full of scams. He mentioned that under Nitish Kumar-Narendra Modi pair, Bihar got Rs 18.70 lakh crore in 10 years compared to Rs 2.80 lakh crore during Lalu's rule.

Union Home Minister also took a swipe at the Mahagathbandhan coalition of Congress, RJD and other parties and said, 'the ‘Mahathugbandhan’ is scattered, while the NDA stands united like the Pandavas.’
