The Great Eastern Shipping Company declines on reporting 38% fall in Q1 consolidated net profit

The Great Eastern Shipping Company is currently trading at Rs. 919.00, down by 17.55 points or 1.87% from its previous closing of Rs. 936.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 932.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 935.55 and Rs. 918.00 respectively. So far 11464 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1418.00 on 19-Aug-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 797.25 on 04-Mar-2025.

The Great Eastern Shipping Company has reported 41.87% fall in its net profit at Rs 388.45 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2025 as compared to Rs 668.26 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The total income of the company decreased by 30.07% at Rs 916.41 crore for Q1FY26 as compared to Rs 1,310.45 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 37.86% fall in its net profit at Rs 504.50 crore for Q1FY26 as compared to Rs 811.94 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.  The total income of the company decreased by 21.50% at Rs 1,336.88 crore for Q1FY26 as compared to Rs 1,703.11 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
