Copper futures settle lower on Thursday
Oct-30-2026
Copper futures settled lower on Thursday after Glencore reported that its third-quarter copper production rose 2% from the second quarter to 201,600 metric tons, bringing year-to-date own-sourced copper output to 598,600 tons, up 3% from the same period last year. However, a weaker US dollar and global supply constraints outside the United States limited the decline.

Copper futures for December delivery fell $0.069 to settle at $6.6025 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down by 0.84% at $14,356.50 a ton.
