Copper futures settle flat on Wednesday
Oct-08-2026
Copper futures settled flat on Wednesday as supply worries intensified following a strike at a Chilean mine, while a stronger American currency and higher US Treasury yields kept copper prices under pressure. Moreover, traders focused on China’s reopening Thursday after a week-long Golden Week holiday, which could provide fresh cues on demand from the top metal consumer.

Copper futures for December delivery settled unchanged at $6.6495 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up by 0.42% at $14,475.50 a ton.
