Gold futures finish lower on stronger dollar
Oct-03-2026

Gold futures finished lower on Friday, on account of rebound in US Treasury yield bonds and stronger dollar. Additionally, persistent bets of hawkish Federal Reserve interest rate hikes dulled investment appeal of the bullion. The yellow metal for the most active contract marked 3.6% loss for the week.

Gold futures for December delivery dipped by $40.00 or 0.95% to settle at $4,162.30 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold down by $ 36.47 or 0.87% to $ 4,141.19 an ounce.
