Ashok Leyland reports 28% rise in September sales

Ashok Leyland has reported 28% rise in its total sales, including exports, at 24,049 units in September 2026 as compared to 18,813 units in September 2025. During September 2026, the company’s Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) sales grew 12% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) to 7,861 units. Further, its Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (M&HCV) Trucks sales rose 44% to 13,244 units in September 2026 compared to 9,208 units in previous year same month. Besides, M&HCV Bus sales increased 13% to 2,944 units in September 2026 as compared to 2,600 units in September 2025.

The company’s total domestic sales in September 2026 stood at 22,157 units, a growth of 29% Y-o-Y. Its domestic LCV sales increased 10% to 7,411 units in September 2026. Moreover, its M&HCV Trucks sales grew 44% Y-o-Y to 12,724 units in September 2026, and M&HCV Bus sales rose 24% Y-o-Y to 2,022 units in September 2026.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
