DCM Shriram commissions Aluminium and Calcium Chloride facility at Bharuch

DCM Shriram has commissioned its new Aluminium and Calcium Chloride facility at Bharuch, Gujarat. Aluminium Chloride Plant with a capacity of 100 TPD has been commissioned and is ramping up as per market requirements. This takes the total Aluminium Chloride capacity of the company to 250TPD; and Calcium Chloride Plant has 2 lines out of which 1 line has been commissioned having a capacity of 133 TPD and the quality of the product has been well accepted in the market. The 2nd line of similar capacity is expected to get commissioned in October 2026.

Aluminium chloride uses chlorine directly as a raw material, while calcium chloride uses hydrochloric acid, which is itself produced from chlorine. Together, these plants represent strategic downstream integration of chlorine, enhancing the flexibility and resilience of the overall Chemical business.

DCM Shriram runs two businesses energy intensive and agri business. The company is also the third largest manufacturer of Chlor-Alkali in the India. They have launched value added UPVC window system business under the Fenesta TM brand in India.
