Zinc futures trade higher on tightening supply conditions globally

Zinc futures traded higher on MCX due to growing industrial demand and tightening supply conditions globally. However, a stronger American currency following hawkish signals from the US Federal Reserve limited further gains in zinc prices.

The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 434.20, up by 0.27% or Rs 1.15 from its previous closing of Rs 433.05. The open interest of the contract stood at 2044 lots.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 419.20, up by 0.50% or Rs 2.10 from its previous closing of Rs 417.10. The open interest of the contract stood at 1211 lots on MCX.
