Copper futures trade higher on Monday
Sep-21-2026
Copper futures were trading higher on Monday amid expectations of tighter global supply, with traders closely watching US copper tariff policy and its potential effects on global trade flows. Meanwhile, demand remained strong due to sustained long-term consumption driven by data centers and renewable energy projects. However, gains were limited as the Fed signalled further rate increases to combat persistent inflation.

Copper futures for December delivery rose 0.57% or $0.03 at $6.7295 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
