Gold futures finish higher as dollar, bonds retreat
Sep-17-2026
Gold futures finished higher on Wednesday, kindled by the retreat in global oil prices, softer dollar and lower US Treasury bond yields. Moreover, persistent Middle East geopolitical risks and ongoing concerns about long-term US fiscal sustainability raised safe haven appeal of the bullion.

Gold futures for December delivery up by $54.70 or 1.26% to settle at $4,387.50 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold rose by $31.45 or 0.74% to $4,295.10 an ounce.
