Crude oil futures end higher amid supply concerns
Sep-15-2026

Crude oil futures ended higher on Monday as concerns over energy supplies mounted following new ‌strikes on Saudi Arabian energy infrastructure and attacks on ships in the Middle East. Further, the postponement of the scheduled talks between the Gulf Cooperation Council members and Iran diminished expectations of the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

Benchmark crude oil futures for October delivery increased by $1.34 or 1.34% to settle at $101.39 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for November delivery rose by $1.07or 1.02% to settle at $105.68 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
