Copper futures trade higher in early deals on Tuesday
Sep-08-2026
Copper futures traded higher in early deals on Tuesday due to tight global supplies and anticipation that US President Donald Trump will expand tariffs to imports of refined metal, while a weaker dollar ahead of key US inflation data due this week also supported copper prices' up-move. US stock market was closed on Monday on account of the Labor Day holiday.

Copper futures for December delivery rose $0.1130 or 1.69% at $6.7955 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
