Gold futures finished sharply lower on Friday, pressured by the stronger dollar and rebound in bond yield notes after Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh at the Jackson Hole symposium, amidst suborn inflation numbers raised expectations for a potential September interest rate hike. The yellow metal for the most active contract marked about 3.2% loss for the week.

Gold futures for December delivery dipped by $134.10 to 2.88% to settle at $4,529.90 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold fell by $144.04 or 3.13% to $4,455.11 an ounce.
