Gold futures finish lower after higher-than-expected US PCE
Aug-27-2026
Gold futures finished lower on Wednesday, as the higher-than-expected US Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) inflation data spurred Fed interest rate hike bets. Besides, rebound in dollar and technical correction after the metal reached a three-month peak near $4,700 an ounce dulled the rates.

Gold futures for December delivery dipped by $41.20 to 0.87% to settle at $4,653.30 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold up by $28.63 or 0.62% to $4,619.70 an ounce.
