Gold futures end lower on Tuesday

Gold futures ended lower on Tuesday as investors booked profits after the recent rally. Investors remained on sidelines ahead of upcoming US inflation data and the Jackson Hole Symposium for signals on the future interest-rate trajectory.

Gold futures for December delivery down by $3.30 to 0.07% to settle at $4,694.50 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold dipped by $13.59 or 0.29% to $4,643.58 an ounce.
