Gold futures finish higher with sliding dollar, bonds
Aug-25-2026
Gold futures finished higher on Monday, whetted by the decline in US Treasury bond yield notes, and on weaker dollar. Additionally, looming geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and concerns surrounding US government debt levels buoyed safe haven appeal of the bullion.

Gold futures for December delivery up by $14.90 to 0.32% to settle at $4,697.80 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold dipped by $ 27.51 or 0.59% to $ 4,624.71 an ounce.
