Jul-24-2026

Crude oil prices ended significantly higher on Thursday after Yemen’s Tehran-backed Houthi militant group claimed attacks on two Saudi Arabian tankers in the Red Sea, fueling concerns about an expansion of the conflict in the Middle East. Prices also moved higher after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to bomb Iranian infrastructure.

Benchmark crude oil futures for September delivery increased by $5.36 or 6.17% to settle at $92.19 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for September delivery was up by $6.62 or 7.04% to settle at $100.69 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
