Gold futures trade sharply higher in early deals of Monday

Gold futures traded sharply higher in early deals of Monday, kindled by the softness in dollar and on declining bond yield notes. The yellow metal for the most active contract recorded about 1% gain for the week.

Gold futures for August delivery surged by $49.70 to 1.20% to $4,175.40 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold dipped by $ 14.83 or 0.36% to $ 4,162.11 an ounce.
