Gold futures traded higher in early deals on Monday, boosted by the safe haven appeal of the bullion after Israel and Iran launched fresh attacks over the weekend. Meanwhile, market participants are keenly awaiting key central bank meetings this week, and on further clarity on US President Donald Trump’s tariff plans.

Gold futures for August delivery up by $1.60 or 0.05% to $3,454.40 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold rose by $3.00 or 0.09% to $ 3,435.34 an ounce.
