Copper futures trade higher on weaker dollar

Copper futures were trading higher on Monday, as weakness in US dollar index makes copper Cheaper for buyers using other currencies. Copper prices improved further after expectations that top metal consumer China would unveil a fiscal stimulus package to drive metals demand and help to offset effect of US President Donald Trump's looming tariffs against Chinese goods.

Copper futures for March delivery gained $0.0445 or 0.99% at $4.5590 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
